Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ and LED View Cover Spotted on FCC Ahead of Launch

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have been seen on the FCC website in the United States, ahead of their expected release next year. The phones are likely to be released as part of Samsung's Galaxy S22 series, which is planned to debut in February after the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone, which is set to debut in January. A folding LED View Cover is also mentioned on the FCC website, which might include NFC connection. In the meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S22+ may enable ultra-wideband connection in addition to 5G and Wi-Fi 6.

According to MySmartPrice, both the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have been listed on the FCC's website. The listing includes information about the cellphones' connection and battery capacity. Samsung has yet to publicly release any specifics about the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ smartphones, which are expected to arrive on February 8. The FCC registration for the Samsung Galaxy S22 has the model number SM-S901U, according to the report. According to the source, the smartphone will include 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connection, as well as Bluetooth and NFC capabilities.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S22+, codenamed SM-S906U, is said to have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth NFC, and UWB connectivity. A 4,370mAh battery with 25W charging capabilities might possibly be included in the Galaxy S22+. According to the LED View Cover's FCC filing, it may offer NFC-related capabilities and have a foldable design. Other features, including as the CPU and camera, have been indicated in prior sources, but are not mentioned in the FCC listing. According to previous speculations, the smartphone might be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or an Exynos model for the United States.

According to sources, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will have full-HD+ screens measuring 6.06 inches and 6.55 inches, respectively. Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) recently predicted that the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ would feature a triple rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and an f/2.4 aperture. According to the source, the smartphones would come with a 10-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens.
